Position Overview

​

Virtual Venue seeks a highly motivated Sales Executive responsible for identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities. Sports event planning and operations experience is preferable to implement our global sales strategy, primarily focusing on the Football landscape and a broader reach to major sports organisations beyond football.

 

The Sales Executive will generate leads, meet sales goals, and build lasting client relationships. This role requires excellent communication skills to present the Virtual Venue effectively, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will implement the sales and business development plan, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence within the sports industry and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

  • Implement the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.

  • Develop opportunities in the football landscape and major sports organisations worldwide beyond football.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the sports industry.

​

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Research and build substantial industry databases.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and product enhancements.

​

Customer Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback for continuous product improvement.

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.

​

Sales Collateral and Marketing:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials.

  • Support marketing efforts with valuable market insights and customer feedback.

  • Be at events, globally, and fairs to exhibit and present the Virtual Venue.

Qualifications

​

  • Based in Southern or Western Europe is mandatory.

  • Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Sports event planning and operations experience is preferred.

  • Experience in business development within the sports industry, especially in Europe, is preferred.

  • Capabilities for networking and relationships with major sports event organizers.

  • Experience working with larger sports Federations globally is a plus.

  • Strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
